This project was to update a compact kitchen in a town home in Del Cerro. The clients were downsizing so a functional kitchen was an absolute must for them with lots of storage. The space from a small closet in the hallway was re-purposed for extra cabinetry storage on the kitchen side. Also the small pass through connecting the kitchen to the dining room/living room was opened up approx. 4' which made a great connection between the living spaces. We extended the range leg of the cabinetry to gain deep drawers for pot / pan storage and additional storage above while making sure that we had enough room for the eat in kitchen table. These minor adjustments throughout the space really made a difference with the function and flow of the kitchen. The existing flooring was saved since there was only minor changes from the original footprint. The clients big splurge was their Viking appliance. The savings of the flooring helped them to get there.
